Frequently asked questions

Do i need to bring my ID?
  • YES, i will not tattoo you without first seeing your ID. I will have you fill out a consent form before we begin the session. I will NOT tattoo you if your under 18 either, for legal reasons.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?
  •  Pain is relative. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain.

Can I use any of the numbing products out there to ease the pain of a tattoo that is in a really painful location or a very long session?
  • If you properly prepare for your tattoo (learn more) chances are you will not need any numbing products.
  • Some people have more sensitive or ticklish skin than others. If you and I decide it would be a good option for you, do some research on the different products and make sure you are not allergic. Let me know ahead of time, and email me any questions you have. The numbing product is usually applied 45 minutes to an hour before starting the tattoo. It’s best to wrap the area with plastic wrap after applying it. I will unwrap the plastic and clean the skin before starting the tattoo.
  • I also recommend, in the case of the pre-tattoo gel, warming the skin to open the pores to allow for better absorption. Keep in mind that Lidocaine works better for some people and for others it does not numb as well.

Do you do cover-ups?
  • Yes.

How much do you charge?
  • $170 an hour for a standard tattoo.  When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are people tattooing out there that will ink you cheap/or for free, and you'll be crying to a real artist to have it covered up. I have only worked for 2 companies in the last 14 years and have an excellent customer service record for those 14 years. With me you get stability and an artist who is not hard to get in contact with. Look for quality, and be willing to pay for it. Tattoos are forever.

Is there a deposit on any artwork?
  • There is no charge for a consultation. I do require a deposit to book an appointment. I do not do free drawings. Most of these deposits are non refundable especially if the artwork has already been started. Please see the deposit policy bellow.

Can i pay with credit cards/debit cards or other?
  • I accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, and PayPal.

Do you do refunds?
  • No, I do not do refunds.

Do you offer gift certificates?
  • Yes! Click here to purchase gift certificates. Please bring your email confirmation with you to your appointment.
  • Physical certificates are available upon request.

Are Tanning and Sunbathing OK with a Tattoo?
  • Sunbathing and tanning beds might be really tempting, but are not a wise choice if you have tattoos.

**I WILL NOT TATTOO AN INTOXICATED PERSON**

Deposit Policy:

Client is required to put down a non-refundable deposit when scheduling a tattoo appointment. A minimum of $80 is required to hold your date and time. Deposit will be honored towards the price of tattoo desired. In the case of a tattoo that requires multiple sessions, the deposit will be credited to the price of the last session.

Last minute changes to your  tattoo concept may change the pricing estimate. Could be more, could be less. Depends what you are changing. Design changes may also prompt a reschedule because I would need time to re-draw the art and if the changes are significant i may require an additional deposit.

The following will void your deposit:

Client does not show up for scheduled appointment. No-call, No-shows are the worst. It does not leave us artists time to fill the time slot with a new client therefore we make no money for the day and we all have bills to pay.

Cancellation of appointment less than 24 hours prior of scheduled appointment time.
I am a reasonable guy so if a real emergency comes-up that gives you less than 24 hours to give me notice-just message me so I know and i will let you know if you can retain your deposit for a reschedule) It is your responsibility to communicate with me if you need to reschedule. Like you, I have a busy life and other clients waiting to get an appointment, so I'll be in a much better mood if I know whats up :)

You are allowed to reschedule a total of 2 times within 6 months of original appointment date/s before your deposit is void. Like I said before, I'm a reasonable guy so i will work with you most of the time as long as you communicate with me.

I pride myself in honoring our scheduled appointment time and not wasting your time. I would only reschedule our appointment if I had an emergency or illness. In the last 7 years this has only happened 3 or 4 times, but I am human and therefore must retain the right to reschedule your appointment if necessary.
